Associate Account Manager
The Associate Account Manager is a member of the Commercial Lines Division team providing customer service for commercial lines clients.
Reports to: Sr. Account Manager/Account Executive
Essential duties and responsibilities
• Set up, implement and manage Resource Pro with Captive Installment Invoicing.
• Set up, implement and manage RSP with regularly scheduled correspondence including Quarterly Self Audits, Installment Invoice Delivery, Assessment/Paid Loss/Closing Cost Invoice delivery.
• Day-to-day certificate issuance when additional coverages are needed.
• Class Code/Rate Request assistance.
• Understanding and facilitation of restricted codes and approval processes in all programs.
• Preparing Annual Captive Renewal snapshot for all clients.
• Manage updates of customer and policy information in the account management system.
• Manage and understand all carrier and wholesaler contacts.
• Review policy and endorsements for accuracy; report errors to the insurance company for correction, notify insured of changes requested. Initial check of all AAM accounts in addition to ownership of assigned AM. accounts. Use and Manage diaries in EPIC as appropriate.
• Contract review.
• Interface with clients on staffing-specific and insurance-related questions.
• Understanding and ability to assist clients with program-specific consultation.
• Prepare and communicate Assessment Forecasting for TSIL clients per service level or emergent need.
• Prepare presentations for AM/AE meetings.
• Complete proposals or assist where required.
• Renewal and Marketing of Workers’ Compensation and Non-Workers’ Compensation lines of insurance – with the insurance company and presentation to the client.
• Analysis of exposures and losses at renewal with appropriate communication to the team.
• Work independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
• Keep Account Executives fully informed of all important activities on their accounts including being sensitive to potential problems.
• Prepare Loss Forecasts and Mod Projections per service plan.
• Understanding of Loss Sensitive Programs and ability to provide consultation to clients.
• Communicating and managing additional resources including but not limited to claims, loss control, resource pro and admin while keeping AE informed.
• Initial review of claims change reports and communication of which accounts need additional attention.
• Out of state/in state travel as needed.
• Manage and collect receivables according to agency guidelines.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
• Excellent phone etiquette, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work with minimum supervision; able to accept direction on given assignments
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure document accuracy.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment with strong customer service skills.
• Experience with a broker/agent, including marketing large middle market accounts to carriers; excellent knowledge of the markets.
• Strong knowledge of all basic P&C coverage’s to include workers’ compensation, general liability and auto.
• Demonstrated superior presentation or relationship skills to present proposals to customers and prospects in this highly Client interactive role.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Commercial Lines experience required.
• High school diploma required and College degree preferred.
• Licensed in property and casualty insurance.
• Continued work toward obtaining an insurance-related designation.
