Who We Are

We are a privately held 3rd generation “family business”, whose roots go back to the 1920’s. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions it eventually became the Clair Odell Group, which  in the 1990's was ranked as one of the country's 100 largest insurance brokers. The agency was eventually sold to Mellon Bank, which then became part of Citizens Bank.

In 2004, Rob and Steve Odell joined with the Lyons Companies and established LyonsOdell and for the next four years enjoyed significant growth in revenue and personnel.

In 2008, Steve and Rob Odell along with Geoff Goldwater separated from the Lyons Companies and were joined by one of their former partners, Brett Studner, forming the Odell Studner Group on September 1, 2008. The vision was to take the family business culture and re-establish the company as one of the pre-eminent insurance and risk management consulting firms in the region.

Odell Studner, a company founded on professionalism and integrity, will continue to evolve into a much larger and complex organization bringing our clients the most creative solutions that will help them grow their own firms. We will help our clients by crafting a strategic bond between what we do and how we provide it, but will never lose the sense of accountability and responsibility learned from the prior generations.
